strange noise in bonnet (hood)

Default strange noise in bonnet (hood)
When opening the bonnet today I noticed a strange noise like something was loose and rolling about inside the front of the actual bonnet itself. Anyone else experience this?

I had that in the support frame of the trunk once. Turned out it was a tiny lock-nut for who knows what. that got in through one of the holes. I used a magnet with oil on it and the frame to slide it out to where i could grab it with forceps.

That's not the noise I'm talking about but I do have that one as well. It seems to come from the struts. Do you know what that is? Cheers.
