Well that settles it then... driving habits will be adjusted.
This should be good.

Thanks everyone!

Sigh... I got like 5 good rock chips today after being behind a dump truck for literally only 20 seconds on the highway. I tried to avoid him like the plague but couldn't. These trucks really need to utilize cargo covers. The sound of the pebbles hitting the car was so horrible. Wishing I had a clear bra now.

Were you able to accelerate around the dump truck?

I mashed the accelerator and sped past him right into the path of another one. I hate when these trucks don't utilize cargo covers. -_-

Were you able to slow down and let another car get in between you and the dump truck?

I ended up just speeding past him also. Not without some souvenirs from his truck though.

Here in Florida, there are zillions of construction trucks and rocks not only fly off their load but pop off their tires and can travel huge distances. Defensive driving is one thing, but it will be inevitable to get road debris on the nose of a flawless new bumper. A clear bra would certainly give you that peace of mind and great protection.

Do you know of any reputable shops in the Broward/Miami area? I wanted to also tint my car so between that and the bra it's upwards of $1000. I might have to sell a kidney. Jobless and in college is not fun smh.

The only outfit I have used and recommended over the last 10 years has been auto supershield. The website is www.autosupershield.com This guy has been doing clear bras (as well as tinting) forever and specializes in exotic cars. You will need to get an appt, and call for a price. He is not the cheapest but he is absolutely an artist and stands behind all his work. Location is in Boca Raton. Good luck.

I'll look them up. Boca is a bit far from me but if they do perform quality work it just might be with driving up there. Then again I look forward to driving nowadays.

I can't imagine more dump trucks on the roads than here on the Beltway, its terrible here because so much of the area is always under construction.

Avoiding them is a little bit of an art form. Try and stay a lane away when you pass. If you pass on a corner, pass on the inside. When you here debris start to hit the car...back off until the right opportunity to pass presents itself...

I live in the Pembroke Pines area. I live within 10 mins of the 75 and turnpike so anywhere north or south of me is pretty accessible.
