Great idea. IMO, I would also make sure I have the camera set at the mid level of the wheels and car. Stay back a little bit so you won't get lens distortion. Set your camera to highest resolution or RAW. A tripod (with VR off if you use Nikon) and a fixed lens would be great, but if you just want an idea, a point and shoot camera will do. I have seen some crazy work (by Seize?) on this forum. Good luck!
