200 mile F Sport, just out of a tip to tail wrap in Xpel Ultimate...the pre-wrap detail took 8 hours! This on a brand new car. So much for the dealer detailing team.

You wrapped your whole car in Xpel? How much did that cost you?

$6350 including the detail. I had three shops bid; all were very highly rated and had excellent references, so I went with the low bidder, who has 8000 pictures of customer's cars they have wrapped. It took about 50 man hours total.
We did this because our previous black 2013 F Sport was just heartbreakingly scratch prone; I mean, it really came pre-swirled from the factory and only got worse from there. After I saw an Xpel demo at the SF auto show last year, I was totally sold on wrapping the next car.

Wow! That's too expensive for my small pockets. lol I do have to agree with you. Obsidian is so hard to keep swirl free. No matter what I do they show up. Now that my RX has past the 100k mark I could really careless about a few swirl marks here and there.

Love black cars (especially the GS) and dont buy them specifically because of swirls, but jesus, 6350 for a wrap to protect against swirl marks? Thats Insane dude.
Money burning holes in them pockets?
