If........ you are doing the 10k OCI's I hope you dont have only 1 Oil change by then.
They just may have banned combustion only car engines by then.
LOL...I do oil changes in all of my cars every 12 months as none of them see anywhere close to 10k miles in a year. My Highlander, which we've had for almost 3 years just hit 8k miles. The Tundra seems to be getting the most miles. We've had it 6 months and I'm at about 2600 miles. The Tundra will slow down now, though, as most of the miles on the Tundra get put on during the summer on family road trips. It'll probably only get another 1k miles on it before the summer.

I've never been able to keep a car that long so we'll see! I do highly suspect its replacement someday will be electric.

I did 11k oil change once. The 10k number they came up with obviously has margin built into it, same with any dealer recommendations for service. Technology will get better and maintenance intervals will get longer. I sold a car with 232k miles, current GSh has 116k miles. These cars will last easily last 230k+ miles, that's how you get your moneys worth especially when you buy used.

You won't blow your motor but you will reduce its efficiency via wear with high mileage oil changes. It will start to burn more oil, your gas mileage will decrease, your power will decrease and the engine will be noisier over time but it will continue to run.
People who don't put many miles on their cars, it is also important to be consistent with oil changes. You are most likely to have repeated cold starts. Condensation is a byproduct of combustion. With a cold engine it causes water to collect in the oil. This can cause excessive wear and bearing failure. The oil changes on a low mileage engine is to remove this water that has collected in the oil.
Crap! I saw that on the Draw-Tite website for $300+ and assumed that was the price everywhere. That's probably the best choice.
Ah well, since this is only for bike rack duty it should suffice.
Can you re-upload those pics of the hitch? Not loading now for some reason. It looks like the class II hitch hangs lower from the bumper than the class 1.

I don't know where my tape measure went but it looks like ground clearance is roughly the same. That one looks like it sticks out a lot more.
