Unless it is snowing you should have them tucked cleanly below the hood. Doing so provides a much cleaner look. I have attached a picture from the manual on how to change the position. Thanks for posting. I have been wondering about this for a while and have tried messing around with it to no avail. just went out to my car after reading this and it popped back into a hidden state. thanks again

Fixed. I just had to pull down the wiper on the passenger side for both to be adjusted. Thanks.

Same here... I pushed the passenger's side down and they both popped back in. They look so much cleaner this way. Thanks again.

Many thanks to jsch222 for posting this. I totally missed it when I read the manual (probably because there's not much snow in Texas) and I could never figure out how to raise the wipers to clean the windshield thoroughly. This morning, after reading this, I went out and kept increasing pressure until they popped up into the snow position. And then popped them back down to the hidden position just as easy. Thanks again for calling this to our attention.

I just cleaned the car for the first time last night. I didn’t realize the wipers had two positions.
My wife drives the car so I scrambled to look for pics to see if they were up...they are.
Now I want to drive to her work and fix them.

Thanks!

Default A 'Win' for the 1st Generation GS!

The first generation cars '93-'97 had a setting on the wiper stalk to park the wipers 'full' or 'semi'. Cannot believe after all these years you would have to make that adjustment manually. One small step back. Kind like the loss of wet arm wipers...

Remain jealous of all you Gen 4 owners, so sweet!!!

my 2011 ES had this feature. i figured it out when my brother tried to lift the wiper and scratched the edge of the trunk where the wipers sit.

I fixed mine last night by pushing down on the driver's side wiper till it popped into place in its lowered position. Looks so much cleaner.

Thank you for starting this thread, jsch222!

I saw a black F Sport today and I too wanted to come and push them down for the owner. Bringing the thread back to live for those who missed it.

I am also confronted with the dilemma from time to time. So far I have been able to contain myself. No promises down the road.
