I traded my 2007 GS in 2011 for a BMW 335i. The road noise, tires etc...
was reduced by at least 40% to the beemer. And this was with run flats.
I will be trading back to a GS soon and would like
any feedback, comparisons on road noise with current onwers
if possible.
Thx ahead!

Thx for the reply. Yokahama's came on it.
Then had a set of Michelin's at 25,000mi.
The Miches were def better. I just noticed
a true change for the better with the beemer.
Still going to get the GS. Just trying to get
an idea of the current satisfaction level.
Thx.

It's really hard for any of us to say, since we haven't driven the 3 Series. I test drove a 335is vert and found the runflats terrible. I wasn't really looking for road noise because I had the top down.
My GS F Sport with Dunlop tires has lots of road noise on certain surfaces, but on others (like freeways) it is as quiet as a tomb. In any case, I love the car, and I came from an Audi S5 Cab.
I think you are just going to have to drive one for yourself and make the comparison. Don't make your decisions based on our opinions and then be disappointed.
