Anybody know how to adjust the audio tone on the BT? The people on the other end of the phone sound like somebody cranked up the treble.

Yes that is the same thing I am feeling with this bluetooth! Too much treble and too sharp and not enough bass to the sounds... I have not found out how to change the sound quality or tone. Only can change the volume. To be honest I am very disappointed with the bluetooth call quality on this car compared to my other cars and the 2006 GS I had before it.

My 2010 ES was also much better in this regard. I was very surprised the first time I used the phone.

Yet the bluetooth audio sounds great...
I think its because the phone only seems to play through the center channel speaker, on my ES it played through the midrange speaker in the driver's door.

The system just doesn't work that way, it never has. The Toyota/Lexus bluetooth phone system only feeds through one speaker. They didn't cut anything out, they just changed which speaker it fed through. The center channel speaker has no bass unlike the door speakers.
Even the old 1990s $3k dealer installed built in Lexus carphones only ran through one speaker. My Dad had one in his old 98 LS400.
As for cutting out the power trunk and mirrors...one of my managers at work bought a CPO 2010 GS350 the day I bought mine, rode in that and spent 45 mins or so showing him how the nav works, etc. I had looked at the GS before when I got the 2010 ES. This GS is such an improvement from the previous GS it barely resembles the same vehicle. Just the upgrades in interior quality alone are HUGE, absolutely huge. If they had to delete a power closing trunk and power closing mirrors to deliver this car for similar money to that previous car...I'll take that trade any day.
