F-Sport 19.8 mpg. Just crossed 1000 miles, mostly driving in Normal with some Sport+, and very conservative, mixed highway/stop and go.

Base on cruising range and how much I fill up the tank, I have found that the avg MPG after refuel is conservative and approximately .5-.7 mpg lower then actual.

At 16,800 miles, recent cruising range on my F-sport AWD was 340 miles with 15.7 gallons fill up which is about 21.2 mpg. Car avg was 20.5 mpg. I can still get more out of the tank. I do about 40/60 city/highway in normal mode.

I took my first 200 mile road trip this weekend and was able to average about 21.5 MPG. I did spend about 20% in traffic and I was cruising at 80+MPH occasionally hitting 90MPH. Not bad at all. The GS is a pleasure to drive on the expressway. Very comfy and good pep for when I feel the need for speed. I'm now at 1,300+ miles in about two months. Need to drive it more!

Here are some pictures of mine. I was cruising on a country road at about 60 mph (speed limit is 55 mph) and was getting 32.8 mpg as you can see in the picture. With the country drive, mountains, city driving, then doing it all again to get home (about 300 miles total) I average 27.1 mpg. My highway mileage is much better than 100% city driving.

Here's the country road... just long and flat.

And the Mileage (sorry for the glare, didn't realize there was a glare when I was taking the picture)

Just adding to this thread...

I took this today while driving in beautiful Southern California on the 405 freeway (yes - I live in traffic) and this is the mileage I get...I have to do something while I sit in traffic (so don't judge that I took it while driving...haha

(I drive 99.9% of the time in Sport+ mode as an FYI also)

Wow, my car has never shown that high of gas mileage. It didn't help that yesterday I took it to red line twice for the first time. Wow that engine sounds so good at wide open throttle.

I decided to test the different modes to see the mpg difference I would get (I drive about 60% highway 40% city):

My first tank of gas on the car was a mix between Normal and Sport + and I was able to get 265 miles out of the tank - 17.8 mpg

Second tank - all normal mode driving - 290 miles - 19.3 mpg

Third tank - all Eco mode driving - 328 miles - 20.6 mpg

My 4th and most recent tank - all Sport + mode - 293 miles - 18.7 mpg

I did these calculations myself instead of using the car's system by seeing how many miles I drove after I filled up and then dividing it by the number of gallons it took to refill the car. I prefer Sport + driving in the city and Normal on the highway, it's just so smooth

I took the GS to the edge, well almost. Computer said I had 2 miles left but it only took 15.3 gallons to fill her up, tank capacity is 17.4 gallons. So even when the computer says you're on E, you still have about 2 gallons left.

There's a gas station every few blocks in Chicago so I wasn't too worried. I felt like Kramer trying to see how far I can go on E. LOL ... I'm certain I can go at least 40 miles even after the computer says zero miles left.

I did the second half of a 1200 mile trip yesterday. My first tank of gas was used mostly traveling back roads, rarely driving over 55 MPH with some stop and go, and about 45 miles of interstate at 75 MPH. I averaged 30.8 MPG (actually measured, not the in dash computer), the best I have ever had. The next tank was 100% interstate driving, all with the cruise set for 75, except the few slow stretches where there was construction. Averaged 29.9 MPG on that one!

ECL, Is your car all stock? Rims and tires especially. I can't get anywhere near what you're getting.
