I have about 8200 miles on my car. 60% city/40% highway driving. Always in Sport + mode. I average about 18-19 mpg.

A little over 1300 miles on the car, mostly city driving, mix of regular and sport + modes, and averaging between 21 and 22 mpg, calculated manually.

Haven't had the opportunity to take her out on the highway yet.

City driving we have been getting 19.6. Just took a trip to New Orleans from Central Florida. By the computer, got 23.2 to 25.2 mpg all hwy, calculating it pen and paper mpg was higher a difference of .6 to 1.6 mpg per tankful, the .6 giving the 23.2 a 23.8 mpg and the 1.6 going with 25.2 getting 26.8 which came in "Normal mode" where as the 23mpg the car was in "Ecco", the other tanfuls also calculated higher. On the way up 78mph on the way back average lower, traffic on I-75 but on I-10 many stretches going 80+.

Car was fantastic, not a rattle, squeak of any kind, no fatigue at all, and I'm old. Comfortable plus power when you want it.

One annoying thing, side view mirror reflection of interior, did notice a thread here about it.

Just did a fast trip from Atlanta to Penscola and back over the weekend. Got 26.5 mpg driving in the range of 75 to 85 mph. Have a little over 2K miles on car at this time. Used Chevron Premium which seems to be the brand for the best mileage that I found at this time.

I got 20.5 for my 2nd tank of gas, which was over 50% freeway driving. The computer had it about 18.

I refilled my tank this morning before leaving on one of my rare highway trips. I got 28.5 MPG, 100% in town without any highway driving. That was measured MPG, the computer reading a little lower, as usual. I was pleasantly surprised, but did happen to have a bunch of green traffic lights on the 50 mile round trip to and from the airport a couple of times. My speed was never over 45. That seems to be the "sweet spot" for my GS. Today, averaging 75 in the mountains driving to Sedona, my mileage was about the same.

Default I wish it were true

Is anyone experiencing this? It started a couple of weeks ago.

Check out the attached showing actual consumption vs past record.

Maybe they sold me the experimental model that was supposed to stay in house. I only get 23 MPG on my 20 year old SC400. Perhaps they like the altitude in Tucson.

I've been driving in ECO mode around town, which I swore I would never do, and I'm seeing over 20 mpg. I see very little difference in MPG on the highway in ECO mode, so I usually leave it in normal mode. Still not worth the extra 2 MPG to drive in ECO, so back to Sport!

I just returned from my first long highway trip. On the way back, my last tank of gas was topped off, and I got 29.7 MPG, 70 % highway driving, most of that with the cruise set for 75 MPH. I am pleased, to say the least.

How many miles are on your car? What is the year and model?
