it shows your route by using tracking dots... where ever you go it will show up on the screen as tiny red dots. i have no clue as to what purpose it serves unless you're lost and you realize via tracking dots that you're going in circles

Agreed. in Japan the LS is available with tons of options. We get stuck with black leather only.

The F-sport program while doing well is mind-boggling....

CT-F-sport, new wheels, tuned suspension, Black trim only, CVT, F sport steering wheel, badged, black headliner, F sport grill, pedals, drive mode selector, FWD

RX-F-spoort, new wheels, tuned suspension, Black trim only, gets 8 speed auto, badged, black headliner, Fsport grill, pedals (you can get the F-sport front bumper on a non F-sport, it is a LExus option), no Variable driving mode. AWD only

IS F-sport, new wheels, tuned suspension, red/black leather, 8 speed auto ,badged, black headliner, Fsport grill, pedals, no different brakes, drive mode selector, RWD or AWD

GS Fsport, new wheels, tuned suspension, red/black leather, 6 speed auto, badged, black headliner ,F sport grill, pedals, different brakes, drive mode selector. RWD or AWD

LS F sport, ne wheels, tuned suspension, black leather only, 8 speed, badged, black headliner, F-sport grill, pedals, IS F brakes, drive mode selector, RWD or AWD

Trust, I am happy to see them all offered but there is no method to the madness
i checked the Lexus Global site and there is a program through Lexus, "L Customization" for the LS only and only offered in Japan. you can customize your interior to any color you want. i was drooling after the first 3 pics... it reminded me of the LFA int. configs. and yes, 400-420 HP for the LS would be nice.

So they are like the Reese's Pieces left behind for ET.

You know I will always break things down to their most elemental components.

Thanks,

Sometimes I miss my GS, especially when I wanted a more spirited drive in a lighter car,, but I really love the quality, ride and performance of my LS.

I saw the LS at the Chicago auto show over the wkend. Very sharp, inside and out. You definitely get more for the extra $$, of course.
I was disappointed when I bought the GS last April that it did not have the fog lamps. I missed that little fact when I bumped up to the F Sport over the std. I've inquired and been told I have to go after market. Now I see them on the LS & they look great! Why not on the GS??

The whole remote start problem is irritating as well. Not available when I bought it. Now if I want any distance I have to buy after market or use my smart phone. The wife doesn't have a smart phone & there's additional monthly fees to doing it. I'm guessing it's the same on the LS, but haven't inquired.

The drive & comfort of the GS are great! I can't afford the LS, so I'll have to make do;~)
