I May Have To Re-Think My Next Car
As the title says, I may have to re-think my next car. I like what I am seeing here, especially the changes in the body lines. I don't see many of these changes being incorporated into the 2014 GS.

Don't get me wrong, I like the look of the new IS...but regardless of the styling, going from a GS to an IS would be a downgrade in a lot of areas that would take some getting used to.

the DRLs on the 2014 IS are sic... that whole front end is nice, that's what they should have incorporated into the 2013 GS. although i'm not complaining... i like the design of my car.

I actually like a smaller car, so I wouldn't be against trading my 4GS for the IS Coupe when it is introduced. If the GS drives like it does, I can only imagine how the IS drives. It will really depend on seeing the car (and the interior) in person. There is nothing like the interior of the 4GS. Sweet!

Same here... This IS and GS got a lot of attention and as well as the LS and LS F Sport. As I expected the ES didn't get much attention although they have two on the floor. I was hoping to see the LFA and the Sting Ray but they were not there.

The IS hasn't had as smooth a ride versus the GS as far as smoothing out bumps at least. My son always got bounced around in the back of the IS but not nearly as bad in the GS. Still, that front end looks great. I will need to warm up to the side a bit: not feeling it yet.

I like how guys are saying an IS is "stepping down" from a GS! They are two totally different cars! The GS is way to soft riding for me personally. More elite status? I'm sure my IS-F cost more than most GS’s. But I didn't buy it for "status.' I bought it because I like the performance and handling over other Lexus vehicles.

The IS is unquestionably a cheaper car, with less features, material quality is going to be lower as it is now.
If you don't like the way the 4GS rides, I think you'll be disappointed in the new IS.
