ML/ Mark Levinson system. 835 watts 17 speakers... if he's got the volume turned up then the piano black trim covering the window buttons is rattling or it could be the aluminum door trim. i had lexus insulate it. it helped somewhat but the rattle is still there, just not as much. if it's your seat belt, you should adjust it... pinch the piece on the pillar and push down.

Mine with no ML also has rattling noise at both driver and passenger door. I think it's from inside of silver piece on the door panel. It's quite loud sometimes especially after parking overnight on the road. No solution so far.

Next time you hear it try pressing your leg against the door, or press/hold on the actual door lock (not the lock/unlock button) by the handle. Does the rattle go away?

Let me try it next time. But last time when I pressed the silver piece where I think it's from, the noise didn't go away. That's why I think it's something inside.

Are you hearing the noise when music is on or off?

I've had a rattle in my front door/ashtray area (sounds like the change holder area, but it's below it). They've taken the door and other trim apart at least once and haven't isolated it. They actually say they can't hear it (I hear it mostly driving about 40-70km/hr and driving over imperfect roads (but not huge potholes)), but it's definitely there and drives me nuts. It's louder when the weather is cold.

When I did have them take the car (twice now) to identify and fix things, they said they fixed a bunch of rattles in the right door. I have an AWD F-Sport, non-ML.

Yeah I have the same thing. When I listen to music I can't hear it, but when I listen to talk radio (very rare) I always notice it and it bugs the heck out of me.

I wish lexus would have done more testing before they release this car. Certain rattles happen when the weather is cold and the foam or adhesive behind the trims contract and creates room for the trim pieces to rattle. When the weather heats up, the rattles go away.

Thanks for the reminder buffguy. I'm too busy with a child #2 and work that I won't have time to take the car in this winter. I'm going to write to LC to explain my issues and how after two visits to the dealership I still have no resolution.
