The problem is: it takes many hours. What to do when I drop off the car- 20ml away from home? It can only be done if someone else comes along with another car...Unlikely ill do that. Or... Find a detailer in manhattan. Do you recommend anyone around here?
yes, IMO you should have it done. you have an Obsidian. don't get me wrong i love the OB especially when it's swirl and scratch free and shining like there is no tomorrow. however, it is a full time job + overtime trying to maintain it. the only way it will take many hrs. is if your paint is in bad shape. i live in Queens and if there was someone closer and with the same if not better skill level than Phil and the team at DD, i would have chosen to stay closer to home. i researched, watched vids, looked at countless pics and Detailers Domain was the best of the bunch.

Sydtoosic,

I got in touch with the Phil and I'm considering to do it... but I kind of wondering about the price. It's the most expensive I know and if it kept the car clean for a year (via supernatural process) I would do it.

So, can you recap and tell what's exactly are the advantages of having a car done with this process?

I live in the city and I can't wash the car my self and forget about the car wash...once every two three weeks done by the garage guy at the best. So, the car will be dirty most of the times anyway.

if you do a 1 step correction plus the HB or 22PLE then it won't be as much. the 1 step won't remove all the blemishes but the car will look better. the advantages is of course the gloss, dirt repel, water beading (no water spots) water sheeting, car is much easier to wash. i wouldn't recommend a scratch test. if the car is washed properly after the detail then you won't have a problem. this obsidian paint is obscenely soft, so you'll need a coating.

Look at that dash Looking good. Is this HB or 22PLE underneath?

PS: The 5-er might think you were trying to take a picture of his car!

it's the 22PLE underneath. my interior stays clean and i only wipe it down once maybe twice a week. i don't allow eating, farting, gum chewing, loud conversations, drinking, smoking in my car... and the passengers are lucky i don't make them take their shoes off when they get in my car. i ask if anyone is wearing new jeans, and if so you're not getting in... i don't want any ink transfer on my Cabernet seats.. the 5er is safe... it was raining and there were to many cars for a GS F Sport and BM535 shoot out.

what are you waiting for young man... when i come across a product that i would feel comfortable applying to my car, i share the results. Sonax Poymer Net Shield is that product. Detailers Domain has plenty in stock, after Phil showed me the results of the sonax on his car, i was sold.
