Nice find e39ng, but I don't see any pics, do u know what exactly they are doing to it.I wonder if we can do it ourselfs instead of taking it to the dealer and the car staying there for a whole day.

Tx I'll bring it up for my next service. Normally I wouldn't care about this.. but with two very young boys at home, better safe than sorry.

I hope I get this letter before next weekend, when I drop my car off if not its gonna be a while before I get it done. You think the dealerships already have the part there yet or probably not.

Thanks for the info. Wish they release an upgrade power trunk for US 4GS owners.

what u should do is call the dealer and tell him about the tsb and give him the part numbers that is listed so they can pre order it for u and when u go in next weekend , they can fix it the same time. I dont see y they cant do that.

My 2013 ES350 is not one of the ones affected.

got it done... doesn't look any different. the lever does look like a deeper shade of yellow, and it feels a little sturdier.

Did they fill up your tank with gas, as others have been saying?

I'm getting my car picked up on Tuesday to fix the rattle, and do both trunk TSBs. I have half a tank, let's see if they top it up.

I got mine done last week, they didn't fill the tank. When I brought my in I ask them to do both trunk TSBs (I brought in the TSBs as well) but they did only the trunk release level not the hard closing things. Not really happy with their service.

wow... Did you open and close the trunk of the car in the showroom? Really doesn't matter if you did or didn't, if you ask for a TSB you are entitled to have it done, it's up to the customer not the dealer. Tell them to get it done.

Thanks for the advice. Trunk closing TSB not really bother me that much so I let it go this time. They did the NAV software update and the Air Conditioner Calibration update which bother me more.
