Front License Plate Mounting Bracket
I just got a ticket for no front license plate while parked in a local shopping center. I guess crime in Des Plaines, IL must be under control so they can spend their time browsing shopping centers looking for cars with no front plates!
Anyway, I saw some posts where someone said Autozone has a cheap bracket that installs on the lower grille without drilling any hols in the bumper. I looked at the Autozone.com site and did not see this bracket.
Does anyone know if these brackets are still available.
P.S. I know in Illinois a front plate is required and like it or not I was violating the law, but it seems like a waste of time and just another revenue exercise instead of actually doing some good

My service guy gave me the greatest idea since he has it on his car, he basically screwed in a strong bracket that uses the tow hook as a place to mount the license plate so not drilling or anything. I think it's the greatest idea, and if there is an emergency you just unscrew the license plate and put the Lexus tow hook on. I attached a pic so you can see what it looks like, that isn't his car but it is a BMW.
