Wheel (and tire) decisions!

Hi Outrage, you didn't like F Sport full-face forged 10-spoke wheels? And replaced them with Work wheels?
Can I ask what made you dissatisfied with the F-Sport forged wheels?

I returned the F Sport wheels. I was dissatisfied with the quality of the painted outer spoke surface. The paint was applied inconsistently and led to an inconsistent coloration. I cleaned the wheels to see if the discoloration was caused by dirt. It was not. The inner rim surface was not fully painted; only overspray from the outer spoke surface was found on the inner rim. This looked cheap. Finally, the tire mounting surface was significantly gouged and scuffed.
The Work wheels, by comparison, have a well-painted outer spoke surface and completely painted inner and outer rim surfaces. Additionally, I believe the Work wheels are very close in weight to the F Sport forged wheels despite being produced using a casting process.

Work Emotion CR Ultimate "Kiwami" in the color GT Silver. The wheels 19" x 8.5" + 35 mm offset sized. I don't believe I have an appropriate scale, but I can tell they are fairly light from lifting them. UPS listed one of the packages at 29.0 pounds total which includes a wheel, shipping box, and packaging materials.

When you had the forged f wheels, which are lighter than stock wheels. Did you notice any performance gain?
Also how did you arrive at those offsets?

I never had the F Sport wheels installed. I believe the stock wheel is 8.0" wide with an offset of + 42 mm. The F Sport wheel is 8.0" wide with an offset of + 40 mm. The "Kiwami" wheels are available in + 35 mm and + 42 mm offsets in the 8.5" width. RavSpec, where I ordered the wheels, recommended an offset of + 35 mm. This will position the outer edge of the wheels' rims 13.35 mm away from the center line. (7 mm + 0.25 in = 13.35 mm, or, ~0.526 inches). This assumes the + 42 mm offset of the OEM wheel is correct. Hopefully, this will not be a clearance issue.

Your offset calculation are on the money so hopefully they fit as calculated. I found this calculator to be very useful:

Hopefully you verified your oem offset from the back of your wheels. I checked my F Sport oem 19x8/9 and they were +45/60. Yet I've seen them listed incorrect on a couple posts already. FYI the forged F wheels are +40 for both front and back.

I got mine Forged wheels installed earlier this week. Tires are Michelin Primacy 235/40R19. So far so good. The ride is smoother and less noise. The handling feel a bit sleeker. The F-sport forged wheels are 19x8 all 4 around with +40 offset for my AWD. I like to keep the stock height so no plan for dropping. Minimum changes in overall diameter: 26.40 in vs 26.33 in for stock 18".
Try digging a set of Vossen CV4 20" with ET38 but no ETA so went with forged instead. I'm a bit conservative so those forged wheels are perfect for me.

If only the GS F-Sport came in FAP. Those F-Sport Forged wheels go really well with the FAP color.
