thanx BA, i love the GS forum, i can't see myself not being nosy and adding my 2 cents. there are quite a few veterans on the LS forums, so i'll probably learn from them.

nah, this one is not an F Sport. i test drove both and to be truthful, there is no difference between the 2 except the make-up (cosmetics) is different. the practical side kicked in while making this decision. went to a black tie event in Long Island lastnight and i thought i looked good with my Tux shirt and bow tie etc... nobody looked at me when i got out , everybody's attention was on the car, it's like i wasn't even there... as though the car pulled up on it's own with no driver.
I'm glad you were in Tux. If it were me, they would have thought I were a valet guy. I'm sticking with my GS

Each time the system has gone off, I have been in the midst of a somewhat dicey traffic move. Lane changes where you have to get VERY close to the car ahead of you before you zip over into an open slot will likely trip the system. Also, rapidly approaching a vehicle which you EXPECT to move out of the way (i.e. same direction left turner on two-lane highway waiting for oncoming traffic to clear) will set off the collision detection software.

I'm convinced that, had I had APCS in my vehicle, the system definitely would have intervened during my "moves" possibly causing disaster. As long as I can avoid it, I will NOT have APCS in any car I own.
Sounds like your car is smarter than you are, or at least is less willing to take chances.

Syd, I knew you'd do it! I could hear you trying to talk yourself out of it every few weeks or so. You new LS is beautiful, and now you can get back to your first career (which used to be keeping OB clean). My father had a '91 and a '99 LS (God rest his soul) and they were rock-solid. I remember pushing him to buy the '91 and him saying it was more than he spent on his first house, but once he took the plunge there was no going back. I am going to have to seriously look at one for myself one of these days.

Congrats, and please stick around here and continue to add your great insight.

thanx D, yeah i had the Devil on one shoulder (who talks very loud) and the Angel on the other (who talks softly) . yes, your Dad God Bless Him was a wise man. if you're going to look into one... tomorrow is a good a time as any . i test drove both the F Sport LS and the Non F Sport LS, and i liked them both. i chose the Premium model. like your Dad... there's no going back. the smoothness is amazing, the handling is much, much better than i expected and the smooth acceleration is addicting. have to get use to the vault like quietness. i should have done this years ago. BTW... all my buddies are on the GS forum, if i left that would be like abandonment... one of my good qualities (and i don't have many lol) is loyalty. i'm sure i'll make some buddies on the LS forum, so i guess you can call me Mr. International...

I'm surprised you didn't get the F-Sport LS though.

That'd be two good things to do. She's a beauty but I thought the wheels could be better. I didn't want to sound negative about it until you said it. I didn't know you had already planned for this. One thing that I feel you may lose is the super quiet ride quality. Looks like there's a lot of rubber there and if you go with bigger wheels, it may change the ride. This is also my concern. I want a bigger set (and yes, CV4 is the ones I have my eyes on, yardie) I'm the only driver (my wife only drove it once when she had to pick the car for me from the dealer) but on weekends it's the family car and I would hate it if the bigger wheels I will have change the way the car rides. My 10 year old already knows when I'm in S+.

BTW, those last pictures look great. You need to un-private them on flckr so I can see the high resolution ones.
