Hi I parked at a public parking and when I got to my car i saw some scratches on my rear. I just want to know can I buff it out or I gotta get it repainted. If I gotta repainted I gotta go through the insurance which I dont like, So hopefully u guys give me some tips if I can buff it out.
my bumpers a lot worst :/ people that publically park scratch their damn SCREWS (holding the license plate on) to my bumper. and i park farthest possible away from civilization
I really can't tell from the pics, but I had a similar situation, my car was scraped in a parking lot. I used Meguiar's scratch x and it definitely helped!

I was about to say the same. That product does wonders! Make sure you use a brand new buffing pad ($1-$2 at your local store). In addition, I apply a fresh coat of wax over the area once I'm done removing the surfact scratch.

Easy answer yes, I had this same problem when I went to a car-wash. I got a professional detail and it fixed everything.
Most likely if you wash your car, these will disappear. If not, you can try some spray on wax first. I wouldn't go straight to buffing. Someone may cause more damage while trying to fix it. If this is 4GS OB, you need to make sure the one will touch your paint knows what he's doing.
Im letting a body shop do the buffing, hope they r good since they got 5 star on yelp. lol
honestly body shops aren't detailers, they will use a rotary and polish it out, but most likely put in holograms. it won't be visible if the sun isn't hitting it.
see if they can use a dual action buffer instead, harder to put holograms using that.
Invest in one of these and learn how to care for the paint yourself. Its hardwork but its very rewarding and NO ONE will take care of your car like you will. These scratches are an easy one step polishing proccess though. If that was on my obsidian im sure it would be a three step process and it would be scratched again a day later from looking at it too hard
