Default Who wishes Lexus stuck with the LF-Gh grill?

as much as i absolutely adore the front end, i think it would have looked even nicer if it had the grill from the concept LF-Gh.

it would be similar to the 2014 IS grill.

can anybody photoshop the grill on a 2013 GS F-Sport?

what do you mean? the GS is pretty similar to the concept.

i would say it's close enough, minus the grill.

Well, we might actually see an aftermarket body kit in future that will closely resemble the concept car. Usually the lip kits come first, then years later we get full bumper replacement kits and grilles. So, I'm sure there will be something similar made down the road.

it is similar. However, the door handles are flush, the side view mirrors are actually small cameras, the LED HLs and DRLs are sic and the wheels are amazing. Oh, forgot the LED fogs . Those are the few things I like about the LF-GH. But other than that style wise it's the same car.

I think Lexus was testing the waters with the styling on the GS. The new IS most completely shows the current Lexus styling direction.

They put the LF-Gh grille and front on the facelifted LS 460 F-Sport.

Basically, Lexus robbed the GS so as to put the best styling elements of the LF-Gh onto its flagship LS.

The closest a current GS will resemble the concept is a GS450h F-Sport with all LED headlights :

Furthermore, in Japan, you can specify foglights for your F-Sport, thus bringing your GS even closer to the LF-Gh look.

I'd prefer to get the LED fogs from the concept for my F-sport. Those look very nice!

Yes the LF-Gh front end is quite breath-taking, but the rear-end is quite nice as well. The one unflattering point is that the trunk seems to be elongated, just like the Cadillac XTS.

In my opinion people seem to obsess over the number of lamps in the headlight cluster. The car was designed around the parameters for a hybrid vehicle, which brings some compromises to the all-gas vehicle's form and function.

I am sure some of the LF-Gh features will creep into future model years. I would say the current year's design is quite wonderful and had the MB designers reworking their refresh of the E-class.

BTW, the all grille front-ends I see on the Audis and many concept vehicles are going to be massively expensive to repair if the driver love-taps the wall when trying to park. So this is good for the body shops and bad for the insurance companies and the owner, when the inevitable increase in premiums is assessed. So Lexus's choice in front-end design is an example of function or form.

function over form, but they not follow the same for the 2014 IS F-sport?you would think they would be more economical over the less expensive IS.
the front is all grill.

I don't think it cost more to produce the IS grille versus the GS grille, in-fact it maybe quite the opposite. I think it is different markets and demographics. The IS targets younger, sporty and perhaps the more stylishly inclined. The GS is targeted for an older market with a family and Lexus's historic market.

Sorry, but older buyers thinks of repair costs.

Once the GS gets the full spindle, it'll look much more like the concept
