Amazing. I am not sure if I want to do it though. Too much distraction as it is.

I've got my eye on that for a while now. They're expecting something maybe towards the end of the year to support our 2013 GS. I'll be doing this for sure.

OTOH, with a $36 annual Pandora subscription, you have commercial free unlimited music. I rarely use any other app.

Exactly! There's a few YouTube videos out there, as well as someone with an LS that's done this to their car.

I just called Ben and he said it is not looking good for our car, so I would not get my hopes up about this product.

I sure hope that's not really true. Prestigious Society released their MEIS-AVLS for our cars to use the AUX input for video, although using RCA connections, not HMDI. Perhaps Vais can leverage something similar.

I've already looked in to VAISTech and their offerings... here's a copy/paste:

"Unfortunately 2013 GS isn't compatible with iVIC it has the 7th Gen nav system in this car. We may have something available towards the end of the year.

Please let me know if you have any other questions."

I was thinking of using prestigious society and hooking up a carputer... if not, it'll be an android phone/tablet to mhl adapter to HDMI 2 RCA converter...

Yep, you read my mind regarding the tablet w/RCA converter. It should pretty much do what I need, and with my phone mounted with one of these http://www.mountek.com/, controlling things are pretty simple and within easy/close reach - although using the car's mouse would have been so nice instead.

I have that mount, don't get it. it doesn't fit too well, the CD slots are too tall.

I can get it to fit tight, but it's really forcing it.

Better off getting a Cup Holder mount. there are hundreds on Amazon.

I have one and it fits great. Had it for a while and I use it every time I'm in the car, and I still have plenty of room to still use the cup holders.
