They won't turn off when the High beams come on either, the ECU would take care of that, if they wired to it.

I have tried calling Sewell in Dallas but I get the phone tag run around. I know Sewell had to wire to the ECU to make it work, I hope that they didn't void Hambone's warranty
Stew I hope they don't void my warranty either. I don't foresee any issues because they wired everything right. I think one of the reasons they did not use the wire harness that came with the kit was to make it stock connectors so that it would not void the warranty

They used the wires from a stock 4GS and wired it the way that a stock 4GS is wired.

I'm scratching my head here about how the dealer wire dup the fog lights. I asked what they did and was told:

For the relay ground we used ground coming out of headlight switch pin#11(which we had to add new wire)

for the power to energize relay we used rear aux power

power going to fog lights we got straight from the battery

This should help should you decide to do it yourself:

Stew that's the correct way to wire them up. Headlight wires power the relay. Battery powers the fogs. You don't want to write the fogs in line with the headlights as it could melt the wires from too much power. This way the fogs are on their own power source with an inline fuse and the relay cuts the power when lights are off.

The lights, themselves, are working good but the control of them is not what I expected.

I thought they should use the parking lights are a relay trigger? Right now, the fogs are fully independent of the lights. I can turn them on with or without the lights on

Legally in IL fogs can only be on with the headlights. If they are on independent of headlights or even parking lights then the relay is not wired properly. Fog power should only be triggered by headlights or parking lights.

Thank you! That is how I want mine to work, even if that is not the law here in Texas. I am going to talk to the service manager today to schedule my car back in.. but, then again, I may just do the re-wiring myself. I know, thanks to the write-ups here, where to get the parking light power (green wire at white connector located above the dead pedal) to trigger the relay..

So I guess it's impossible to pull a model off the lot that has fog lights to research how exactly they're installed, so as to do this correctly?

I'm still debating this mod. I may call my dealer and see if they will be able to do this....otherwise I'll take it to a high end car stereo shop.

I'm debating the fogs, but if I were to do it, I'd do it myself. I don't have a shop I trust around me. It's really not that hard to do. Did it twice already on my Camry and my friend's Camry. OEM installs are mostly plug and play.

If you choose to have the dealer do it, be sure to specify how you want the lights to work. Ask if they can make it work like OEM. My dealer was suposed to get a GS non f-sport to see how it was done.. yet they still wired mine wrong.
