Does anyone know the operating system, for the GS? It should be be relatively (and I stress relatively) simple and stack rather then register based.
Whatever it is, it maybe related to chronology. What I am getting at is it maybe a problem with a software or firmware update that one of the vendors has made. the problem cam manifest itself depending on what is executing at the time, The symptoms/impacts will be different, but the underlying problem the same.

yeah, what harley said... XM has nothing to do with why you lost your GPS signal. looks like you were going over a bridge... i see you didn't waste time whipping out that phone and recording the moment...

I sit corrected - I missed where the OP said he no longer has traffic. In that case, your advice to refresh the XM signal to correct the lack of traffic info is correct. The other thing would be to check his settings in set up and the nav display to make sure display traffic flow is still set to on.
