Default Res+ ... Not for GS yet

Can anyone shed information/updates about the availability of this feature? It seems available only for the rx so far.

I'm growing old waiting for it to be released for the GS. Hopefully it's released before the car has 200k miles on it.

I was looking into this as well. Looks like a really cool feature. It would be nice to be able to unlock my car remotely.

Well, I filled the advisory board questionnaire today-I'm sure many others did as well- and the theme was just that...

If Lexus doesn't deliver it, some other company will provide an upgrade. I can't imagine why they would not want to move aggressively on a product like that. It's not all that innovative any more. Chevy's have been advertising this for a couple of years now.

As innovative as Lexus wants to be, they always seem to be behind on things like this. How long did it take them before the GX got HID lights? Seems like just last year or 2 years ago, now that LED is the light of the future. I won't hold my breath on this option, but will add it if it ever comes available.

Educate me please but besides the remote start thing, I don't find Res+ all that useful, especially at $1,000 a pop and monthly service fee. My car already locks itself and I don't need to monitor it like a baby. What am I missing?

Enform is pretty useless to me also. Lots of cool factor though. LOL

Haa! I wasn't aware of the costs really... another monthly charge? Nooo thanks

Although, I was hoping this service would have allowed to keep the AC on while locked...for my dog.

$65 a year isn't bad but the unit installed is something like $1,000, parts and labor. You can start the car, take the key out of the fob and lock the door. There, I just saved you $1K+. LOL

From the website.
An annual subscription fee of only $65.00 per year is required to activate the Lexus RES+ smartphone services.

To activate the Lexus RES+ smartphone services, you are required to purchase the RES+ accessory and have it installed into your vehicle by an authorized Lexus dealer. To check current Lexus vehicle and smartphone compatibility with the RES+ accessory, click on the "Compatibility" tab above.

Yep, same here. They wanted to know if I thought it was something that I'd purchase (hell yea) and which features were most important. It must be coming soon.

One of the features I wanted in a new car, because I'm ready to be spoiled a little, was in Winter I wanted a car that I could start from inside the house while I'm getting ready to go and have the car send me a text when the temp inside is at 70 degrees. Res+ gets pretty close to that goal. I'd pay another 2% of why I already paid, to have that feature. I'd also use it in Palm Springs when it's 110 degrees outside.

Interesting. They changed the car compatibility list page. It now forwards you to an irrelevant enform page now. I'm hoping it is really released soon. Wishful thinking, but I hope they update it to not shut off when the door is opened.
