I don't hate you! he he! I don't understand why the prices very so much in different parts of the country. I would think that it would be the same everywhere. Are the dealers back east marking things up that much? Ca seems to be $100-$200 a month cheaper and that is with 0 out of pocket and Lexus paying the first month lease, tax, license etc. That comes out of the $2500 Lexus rebate. In Ca the total of the fees is about $1250, leaving the remaining $1250 for capitalized cost reduction.

You get to just pay sales tax on your payment, in a lot of states we have to pay sales tax on the whole purchase price of the vehicle. In MD its 6%, so a $54,000 GS purchase taxes are $3,240. In order to have a $0 out of pocket deal they have to roll the $3,240 into the purchase price, which has a big impact on the payment.
Thats why you can't compare deals based on the payment, you need to see all the numbers to know how one deal compares to the other. I may have a higher payment, but my purchase price and MF may be lower than yours...thats just the reality of the differences between states.
