Default Nav screen quesiton

Just got my GS 350 F sport!!!

Is there a way to turn off the secondary screen. Have the nav fill the whole screen or just turn it off completely?

thanks!

Not that I've ever seen. With it being as wide as it is, I don't think there would be a reason to see for example 10 miles in front of you and them 20 miles to your sides. No real point.

My point is that while you have the ipod controls or CD controls on the NAV screen - they are repeated on the secondary screen - which is a little crazy. it would be nice to have while the audio functions appear on the main screen.. it to fill the screen.

The only time the car utilizes the entire screen is when you're looking at the menu. The screens are customizable though and you don't need them showing the same info. For example I use 2 different setups, Nav map on the left screen and music info in the right, or music on the left screen and compass on the right.

I generally have music on the left and climate in the right. I prefer having music on the larger screen as it gives more function and control.

This makes me think to ask if you can make the whole screen go dark or turn it off altogether?

I dont think you can turn it off but I know you can dim it really low. next to the ODO button you can adjust the screen brightness, just lower it all the way as low as possible.

If you hit the menu button on the top right is a screen button hit that and you will have a option to turn the screen off. You will still see changes like volume and climate displayed for a short while but otherwise the screen will be blank.
