Radio at drive in?
I've had my new GS350 for 3 months now and love it. I took my son to the drive in theater and couldn't figure out how to keep the radio on. I turn it on by pushing the start button without the brake, but it only stays on for 15 minutes and then I have to keep repeating. Since there is delay time between starting this isn't ideal at a drive in. Can someone tell me how to keep the radio on for extended time without automatically turning off? Thanks!

As was mentioned, the car turns everything off to prevent the battery from becoming fully discharged. The only way to keep it on, I guess, is to turn the car on without starting it and turning off the lights, etc. I don't remember if the dash lights go out or if there are any annoying annunciators trying to tell you to start the car. Even this mode may get turned off after a while if the car is not started.
Let us know if you figure out how to defeat the automatic turn-off.

Does anyone know if this method would still activate the 15 min turn off?
With radio on and the car running put your foot on the brake and put the trans in neutral. Then Press the Start/Stop button to turn the car off. Put the car in Park. Foot off brake.

I am old schooled and still enjoy going to the drive in theater. I usually turn the car on every 30 minutes to make sure that the battery does not have a problem. I have never had a problem using that technique
