I didn't get the email either and I setup Enform when I took delivery at the dealer.

Got the email too. It was about time they made it free. It should have been free to begin with. I can understand requiring a subscription for destination assist and safety connect, but really I don't see why using the paltry selection of free apps should require a paid subscription.

I never use it only because I'm scared to go over my data limit on my phone.... Otherwise I would prob listen to pandora once in a while... I wish destination assist was included.. it's so freakin cool.

Whats your data limit? Pandora doesn't use THAT much data. I have 4GB and use it a lot and never go over, and I'm also a power user on the phone for business.

I guess I'm the outlier; I use Enform/Pandora constantly. There are occasional annoying connection problems, but for me it's infinitely better that the crap sound of XM, which sounds almost as bad as AM radio.

I use Pandora, despite some connection problems. Could not see paying for Enform though. Look at the competitive landscape with other cars. Think Lexus was crazy for even trying to charge for this.

Enform isn't much more than another way to get information on you, on which they can make a profit. Read the subscription agreement, and ones it includes by reference, and you'll see that it's not written to protect your data. If they didn't want to use your data for reasons other than providing service to you, it could have been spelled out...but it isn't.
If I want to uplink nav directions from my iPhone to the car, i should be able to do so privately. Remember that the car and iPhone both communicate two way via Bluetooth, which doesn't use ANY data plan, and doesn't require comm through the cellular network.
