Default Need help on tires + wheels for an F-SPORT conversion

I own a Lexus GS 250 (sounds strange but its not from the US market) and I'm trying to do the conversion to F-SPORT. So I found an OEM bumper for a with the rear lip spoiler for a bargain price.

The F-SPORT wheels and tires are whats giving me the headache now as the staggered OEM wheels are very expensive compared to the aftermarket replicas, the tires too.

My 4GS came with bridgestones on it (18" rim). What I found was that only 4 types of tires come in the sizes of 265/35 R19 and 235/40 R19 those are :
  • Continental ContiSport Contact 3
  • Michelin Pilot Super Sport
  • Bridgestone Potenza
  • Dunlop SP Sport Maxx

I'm not thinking of the bridgestone at all coz its giving me nightmares (NOISY and uncomfortable) but the handling is close to perfect, Conts and Michelins are the best choice but expensive. I don't know about the Dunlops but its the closest for me to choose and thats for the price tag factor.

What does anyone else suggest ?

there should be some members here willing to part with their OEM wheels and tires, seems as though most 4GS owners are going aftermarket wheel and tire set ups. so if you ask real nice i'm sure someone will chime in and cut a deal with you. Dunlops are good tires, had the Dunlop sport maxx on my LS, now i have the Continentals.

No, he's converting. The F Sport factory rims are 19's, which is why he's quoting tires for the 19's, which aren't very universal and hardly anyone makes that size.

I think the OP confused a few people with this thread.

SAA, have you thought of going aftermarket and getting 18's instead, or another brand of staggered 19's? This will give you alot more tire options and you may be able to save a few bucks on the wheels too.

Yea the FSport tires are odd size. I think I'm going to plus size them when I get a new set.

You're gonna be spending close to 2k US on a set of F-Sport wheels/tires. Plenty of listings on ebay.

Or go aftermarket 19s or 20s and spend about 1200-1500 US. And keep in mind if you find aftermarket wheels with a nice design, you could always have them powdercoated to match the f-sport color wheels.

Default 19" F-Sport Wheels

I currently have a full set of 19" F-Sport Full Face Wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires I've listed locally on Craigslist, getting ready to list on ebay. Tires average @ 70% tread left.
Wheels are in great condition @21lbs each, aftermarket will be less expensive but also much heavier unless you go with high price forged. Let me know if you would be interested.
