Thumbs up Invidia 4GS Exhaust Review

Got a smoking deal from Chris @ Team SNS on these new pipes so I went for it. Only had time to put on the exhaust so far. Mid pipe will go on this weekend if all goes well. So far I really like this exhaust. It's stock quiet until you really get on it. I hear it most from 2500 rpm and up...it blends in nice with intake around the 4500 rpm. I had Greddy SE on my old IS350 and this Invidia sounds similar to that cruising around town. It's deep, but not as loud as the Greddy. I think it's a nice add on for the 4GS. Here's the obligatory sound clip...listen to it thru your cars Bluetooth stream or some good speakers. My iPhones speakers didn't do it any justice.

Sounds good! Can't wait to hear the cat back. I'm happy the 4GS aftermarket scene is slowly but surely expanding.

haha...i also have a K&N intake on my car. i noticed the exhaust gets louder as it warms up and it's getting deeper as it breaks in some more. this morning driving on the freeway, i noticed that the exhaust is audible from 1800 rpm to around 3800 rpm...the k&n takes over after that. i will do a follow up clip once i get the mid-pipe on this week.

What does the "drone" sound like in the cabin? Is there any when cruising up hills, or on the gas? You said it is "audible" but how much more than stock? It would be cool getting a video with the windows up of the inside cabin of the car before you install the mid-pipes...

IS350 intake , or u can even get the F-Sport intake off the IS and ltl mod required, but I would get the Joe -Z intake and direct bolt on, you would loose the sound creator, but if u have the Joe Z exhaust with it, u are guaranteed HP.

Any year 2nd Gen IS350 K&N typhoon will work on our 4GS. Mine was from my 2007 IS350. You won't be able to use the heat shield though.

I got the mid-pipe installed by Tommy at Music Box today. Here is a short iPhone clip for now. I really like the rumble now.

Sounds a little like Nissan/Infiniti's VQ37 engine line. That's not a bad thing IMO.

Ok so how much is this full exhaust? Maybe I am missing something here, but why are the mid pipes so expensive on exhaust systems? It just seems weird that they are more expensive than the axle back.

Any pictures of what the mid-pipes look like before you put them on?
