I'm not a car guy but I think your experience is due to a combination of the following:
1. New 8 gear. I too feel it doesn't roar as much compared to my old Luxury
2. Driver's side door is improved. It closes a lot softer. This in turn may provide extra isolation.
3. They might have changed the intake. Who knows?![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
4. You should consider a new set of tires if you feel too much road noise. Dunlops/Bridgstones are not that great. I know new Michellins are expensive but they are worth it. i feel that the 19 Michellins PSS are as quiet and smooth or more than the old 18 Dunlops.

2015 also got a stronger A pillar.
I've tried green silicone impregnated tires before, and they have very low rolling resistance, and outstandingly quiet, however I find the ride poor.
Bridgestone Serenity Plus are green silicone impregnated with low rolling resistance, lighter power steering, super quiet, but a very lumpy ride.
Are the Michelin PSS green silicone impregnated low resistance super quiet tires?
If so, I'm worried the ride may be firmer and too lumpy?
