Inaccurate Fuel Reading?
Last night I was driving and didn't have time to gas until the reading showed cruising range of 0 miles. The gauge also showed E and the light was on. I quickly went to fill up but it stopped at less than 11 gallons. I thought our tank was bigger than that. The reserve tank can't be that big, right? Is this a problem I should get looked at by the dealer?

With that math, the tank would be 12-13 gallons. I think the quoted fuel capacity is 17.5 gallons. That's why I was wondering if something was wrong.

If it was on E, it should take about 16 gallons to fill up. I let mine run to 2 miles remaining once and it took me about 16 gallons to fill up. Either the gas gauge is off or you got lucky and the gas station pump is off. LOL

Yeah its 17.5 gallons, when it says 0 theres still like nearly 2 gallons left according to the guys on here. Personally I've never tired but I'm going to real soon

If the pump was off, then I'm going to that pump all the time from now on :P
I'll try running it down again and filling up at a different station.

I usually put 14 - 15 gallons. There was one time when I saw 16.2 I think, but for the most part it's 14 - 15.
I have never seen 0 miles, I just get "Low Fuel" message. It usually comes up when the range drops below 17. And I can't never get 300 cruising range, the most I ever got is 286 miles and that is when it started to spill already..... Usually it's 278 miles

If I'm getting about 300/tank in city driving and this keeps the fuel pump cooler, fine by me. The needle also seems to read evenly aside from it holding a reserve.
Coming from my last brand of car where I lemon lawed it after 2 instances or running out of gas and the fuel gauge wandering all over the place, this is a good feature to have. I'd much rather have more gas in the tank when the light comes on than have it say I have 30-50 miles and 5 miles later be coasting on fumes and walking to get gas.
But like others have said, the fuel pumps can be off and there can also be an issue with the pressurization in the tank or some other fault. Burn another full tank and try a different station like you said. A saved trip to the dealer is always its own reward.
