Default Quick question regarding tilting side mirrors

Have the luxury package and I know I have a camera and all but are the side mirrors supposed to tilt downwards ?

Yes. And you can set how far they tilt also. Put it in reverse, select the mirror and adjust to your liking.

Also make sure either the left or right mirror is selected for the auto tilt to work. If the mirror switch is in the middle position, the auto tilt is turned off.

Another piece of advice too is that, after a few years, your battery's voltage will start to decline.
There will come a point in time that the battery's voltage is so low that the memory for the left and right wing mirror on setting no longer works, such that when you restart the engine, and put the gearbox into reverse, it no longer auto dips.
Here you must actively press the left or right wing mirror setting for the auto dip to work.
This is a sign of a battery that needs to be replaced.
Once the battery is replaced, the auto dipping mirror works normally once again...

If your car doesn't come with auto dipping side mirrors as standard equipment - is there any way to purchase the parts and install it yourself?

The auto-tilt down side mirrors when in reverse are standard. Apparently the OP did not know how to set them up...

I'm having trouble with mine as well. I put it in reverse and set it down, but when I went to drive, it didn't go back to normal.

Can you store the dipping side mirror as a preset by hitting "set" then then number?

First you need to enable the auto tilting. This is done by selecting either the L or R side button while NOT in reverse (just always leave one selected). Then put the car in reverse and they should tilt down. At this point you can fine-tune that downward adjustment. They should tilt back up when you exit reverse, and the next time you go into reverse, they should tilt down to your newly adjusted angle.

Be sure to SAVE the setting into one of the seat position memories.

I was wondering how to turn this feature off. With all the ice and snow on my car all winter I would rather they don't move in reverse.
