Just called to make an appointment and was told that 15K would cost $525 + tax...seriously, what are they smoking ?

I said no thanks! Just an oil change and a cabin filter replacement for me.

I was told $175 + tax at Ray Catena Lexus in Freehold NJ. I'll be taking mine in in two weeks for the same.

 

Even $175 is high.
Tire Rotation,cabin filter(you can easily do yourself) what else is done?

Thats nuts, $525? Are you sure they were quoting the new 15k service? Shouldn't include an oil change.

The 15k is a tire rotation, a cabin air filter, and inspections. My independent charged me $75 three days ago. My Lexus dealer's quote was $91. $525 is absolutely unreal.

 

Yeah 15k doesn't include oil change. The 30/60/90/etc service appts are the major ones.

No oil chane at 15K since they just did it at 10K. 15K service is just inspections, so I just skipped it.

 

Nope, oil change every 10k. Some dealers are trying to stick to the old schedule. Consult your manual.

 

Do not worry this sales guy was on something. I was quoted 113$ for F sport 15k service. no oil change, just engine filter, wipers and inspection. and he said you don't need to do it now. just do the 20k oil change with those would cost you 225$ including oil & filter change and engine filter, wipers and inspection and topping off the fluids. thats it
