Smart Access Card
Does anyone know if they still make this card? It was discontinued on Sewell's website and I can't find anywhere that it is still available.

I have a critical quiestion about this issue. In order to make the card works on our cars we must match the codes on our keys with the card keys that we are purchasing, right? If so, Im going to search for a card key that match our key's codes. The codes I am talking about is the one at the back of the key. I will update you guys tomorrow.

My guess is that they started phasing out the keys with the newer models since most people probably weren't using them. Easy cost down.
The reason why other keys don't work on the new GS could be for one of many reasons, including:
1. They might operate on slightly different frequencies
2. They may have different levels of encryption
3. Some vehicles are FM modulated while others are AM
4. The bit patterns might be different
5. Newer technologies might be applied to the GS keyless system
I don't know what you are talking about with the codes "at the back of the key".
The way that you add or match a key to the vehicle has nothing to do with any codes that you can actually see.
You should be able to use the techstream tool to add an extra key and it does not require any typing of any codes.
All you have to do is put the car in a sort of add-a-key-mode, let the car know that you have one of the original keys, and then register the new key (assuming that you have the correct key to the vehicle).

The FCC ID on your keyfobs should not match the FCC ID on any access card.
When you are designing an RF circuit you must get a new registration for each new design.
Obviously the design of the smart card is very different from the fob.
Even within the same registered design there can be variances that might prevent a key from working with the system.

It makes sense because programing its self is expensive, however, just buy it and programe it somewhere else cheaper. Did he say it will work on the F sport? Im still working on it still. Please keep us posted tho
