Rear seat audio controls
Thanks for your help on previous questions. Again, my situation is that I'm working overseas and will retire in 3 weeks to Tennessee and currently have a GS350 on order for delivery in Jan/Feb and my only source of info is via internet. One more question please: my GS will have the luxury package with rear seat audio controls, what exactly do the rear seat audio controls control? Will they change the radio station and/or volume selected in the front seat, or does the rear seat have the ability to listen to different music or music source through headsets? Thanks again.

It's a single audio source. The rear seat controls can change just about everything that can be controlled from the front seat - volume, source, station, etc. I'm fairly certain there's no option for headphones. My kids love being able to choose what songs we listen to from my streaming iPhone. And, as I understand it, the 2014s show the song and artist on the rear seat control display.

From the Lexus press release -"and the rear armrest control panel display adds display option to view radio station and song title information"
I read that to imply song title for Satellite and USB sources. I guess it's not. From your pictures it doesn't look like any changes, but I don't spend time in the back seat.

Let me know if you want pics of anything else or have any other questions. I'm sure you've read up on the other 2014 changes, the Siri eyes free is pretty cool if you have an iPhone, and nice to have the power folding mirrors and power trunk. I think the rear cross traffic is also new in 2014, which actually works well when you're backing out of a parking spot and there are cars coming.
