That No Power Mirrors Thing Again: Oh the Humanity!
#16
We get the added bonus of not having to read you starting another one of these threads on this forum again too. Your daughter gets the added bonus of not having to let her Dad drive her graduation present on a nasty snowy day so his car can stay clean...his car he's embarrassed to be seen in that is because the mirrors don't power fold.
Who do I make the check out to and when can I come take that piece of garbage off your hands? I will actually bring cash if you want. Or, just tell me what color Sentra, I'll go buy it, drive it to you and we can just do an even swap.
I mean seriously...this car is pure sex, what were we suckers thinking when we bought the 4GS over this?
The thrill of the 130 horses from that 1.8L power plant. The incessant nauseating drone from the banded Nissan CVT as you lay into all that power. The thrill of hitting a highway offramp and having the 70% front weight distribution shove the FWD Sentra ahead into the curb. All of that AND power folding mirrors? My God...we're morons!
You pull up to the Country Club and show off those mirrors folding in and out....in and out...instant respect. The valets will all clamor to park your Sentra for you just so they can try them out.

I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled up to the Lexus dealer in his new Sentra and the salesmen all saw the mirrors folding, they'd immediately quit their jobs and run down to Nissan to work for them.
Not to mention the effect that display would have on the people at the dealer looking at purchasing a Lexus. Man...people'd be tearing up sales contracts left and right with a mass exodus for Nissan.
Then the issue is...the Sentra with its power folding mirrors is such an incredible car...the wait list is probably already 12 months long. Frustrating!

Grow up or shut up I say to no one in particular!
I own a 13 4GS and could really care less if my freakin mirrors don't fold in or my trunk has power open! My gawd get a grip people! There's always going to be something someone else's car has that ours doesn't!
Hell, my wife's 2012 RX can adjust the seat heat in SIX increments and the 4GS only does 3…waaaah, should I start a thread about that? Maybe someone already has!
Happy Holidays…oh wait, is it politically correct to say that, or does it stub someone's non-folding, non-power trunk opening toes!!!

My garage at the office has a bunch of concrete pillars we park around, I like to get close on the passenger side to avoid dings. I park so close that the passenger door cannot be opened. I'm able to maneuver the car without bumping the mirror. I just turn out a little while backing in, let the mirror pass by the pillar, and then turn back in.
Its not that power folding mirrors aren't a nice feature, and the 2013 should have had them...but its such a great car I just can't help but find such frustration and the thought that someone would get rid of such a great car over something so trivial hilarious.
To me, if the power folding mirrors overshadow your enjoyment of this car, what makes the car great is wasted on you anyways.

Wait,I'm the one with the garage issue.
Got to get close to the one side where there are racks and cabinets,so the walkway is wider to the in garage house door entry.OCD but not a real big deal.

Even better...just build another house! We'll flip Trek's GS that I'm buying for $19,600 to someone who will appreciate it and you can use the $25k or so we'll make towards your new house so you don't have to park so close to the side of your garage. (that should buy you garage doors or something)
Crisis solved! Trek gets a Sentra with fantabulous power folding mirrors, you get a new house, and I don't have to listen to him whine anymore. Its a win for us all!
