About to order my gs 350 loaded with every option but still on the fence about LED headlights. Are the led's brighter than the standard hid's? I dont mine paying more as long as it is an improvement.

You lose a bit of light output lumens with LEDs but not a problem.

 

See if your dealer or maybe some other Lexus dealer in your area has GS450h on their lot. Compare the output in person before your make your decision, because the lights are expensive.....

 

The OP can also do a search.I read here about the difference in light output LED vs HID.
Someone with LEDs said the light output seems less than HIDs.
I'd still get the LEDs.

 

I'd get the LEDs. I'm not too sure of the total lumen output in comparison to the HIDs but they are pretty close. They compliment the lines of the GS really well too. A couple of us '13 owners have been drooling over the LED headlights for a while now. They retail at over $6000! The LEDs have a wider beam pattern as some have mentioned. I haven't seen for myself though.

 

I had the LED on a loaner IS. It didn't seem any brighter than HID, but light is much whiter. You can adjust the angle of the lights if you need them to shine further.

 

Does the led include low and high beams?
How about Fog lights are they leds too?

Yes the low and high beam are LED. The luxury package comes with LED fogs I believe. Are the LED headlights part of a package or a standalone option?

 

As far as I can tell, my sales manager told me that led headlights are part of the highest tier luxury package. But he does not know if the fogs will be leds too. There are no gs's on the lot right now that has the luxury package. All they have here are fsports and one top tier fsport model but without leds.

 

Ok then it will be equipped with the LED fogs. The '14 luxury package includes them.
