Greetings,

Thinking about buying a CPO GS350 '13 @36K miles.
Is that a good model year?
What are the things to look out for?
Major maintenance items down the road?
Thanks

the only important thing the newer 14 models have is a new 8 sp transmission

but damn what the hell do people do that somebody has already put 36k miles on a 2013 car

What's the price? I'd scour every dealership in CA and see if they have any leftover 13s. People were scoring $10k off the sticker price in December. You might be able to get a new car (or a demo) for not much more than the CPO.

Yep. Just took delivery of a 2013 GS demo with 6,500 miles which was purchased on the last day of the December promotion. $42.8K. That should be about $12K or $13K off sticker, and about what a similar CPO deal would yield today.

Bear in mind that the 2013 model year was VERY long. The 2013 came out in Feb of 2012...so essentially it may be two years old even though its a 2013. Thats 15,500 miles a year which is very average.

Mine has 17,500 miles on it and I've had it 14 months.

I'd also suggest to look around for a leftover '13. Concerning the CPO, just make sure to pull up the service records by registering at lexusdrivers.com and input the VIN and make sure the car is up to date. I passed the 30k service recently which is the first major service for the car.

I can tell you this car wants you to drive, I usually average 11k-12k with car I'm significantly higher around 14K. A little more but also remember they debuted the GS in March of 2011. The OP the question is price, it should be low since it has those miles on it.

That's my problem and my only regret. This car makes you want to drive for no reason and a 12k/yr lease doesn't really work well with this urge.
