The amount of redass over a car not having automatic folding mirrors...speechless. How 'bout we complain about the car using the same engine from the 2007MY.

2005 - 2006 to be exact. Since in Japan the GS debuted with this engine, it then took them 2 years to make it available in the US and the rest of the world. Next year it will be a 10 year old engine!

How about we complain about both?
I think the reason why the folding mirrors and power trunk are always brought up is because those are easily noticed by anyone. The engine, while old, is still sufficient to out-perform most people. OK, so it won't keep up with a viper, but neither would most other cars.

Proven technology and reliable. Plenty of power for me. I tend to stay away from cutting edge or newly release technology. It tends to have the most problems until the issues have been discovered and resolved.
Do the mirrors have the setting so they auto fold when car off and open when started? Close to buying fully loaded gs350. Have 2008 now they lets you fold mirrors with button but no autofold and un fold.
The mirrors auto fold when the car is locked and unfolds when it is unlocked.

I agree. If I wanted cutting edge, I'd get an Audi. I bought a Lexus for reliability among other things.
