Since you ask....
I have lost my 2010 crossroads DVD and I will be replacing it soon. I would like to replace it with Blu ray ( home theater) but if my 350 will not play Blu ray then I will make the sacrifice. I'm offshore currently and can't check myself. John Mayer performs a sick version of "Ain't no sunshine" that I would love to listen to while sitting in my ride.
and maybe one day when the override is out.....jus sayin

You can use some free tools to rip the audio track from the disc and re-encode it to MP3, CD, multi-channel DVD audio or whatever. I'm about to have to do that with a DVD-A disc I just got because when the car goes from Park to Drive the disc stops then starts and stops and monkeys around, super annoying, because the system doesn't allow DVD video while you're driving.

Rotating disc is dying for a good reason, mechanical waredown and vibration in a non static carrier. If its audio you are after then encoding is a better bet. You just have to invest in good hardware. If its video you are after then there is no point, both limited by hardware and light condition in the cabin. Yet again you can encode video and make it accessable wirelesslly to everyone,
