Default Braking Questions GS350 F Sport

So i am at the light and push the brake all the way to the floor and i hear the car peep twice , i let go of the brake and the brake stays locked for 3 seconds than releases. Is there a brake feature for the GS?

Yes it's a feature, Hill-Start Assist. It holds the vehicle momentary before acceleration, for one foot drivers, reduce roll backs. Great feature for steep roads. Just used it on steep Seattle hills!

You can also use it at stop lights if you feel a bit lazy and don't want to press the brake as hard. Push it all the way then apply just enough pressure to make the car think you're still on the brake. I do it all the time since the GS seems to require more effort to hold it from rolling forwards at lights.

Yep. Depress brake pedal all the way until you hear beep and see traction control light blink.

The RX and HS also have this. Other models may too but I haven't played with that feature on those

It seems like cars without electronic parking brake, like ES and IS, don't have this feature. I had the old IS, new IS, and new ES as a loaner and none of them did this.
