That's a used vehicle as far as I'm concerned.

$53374 is a ridiculous number for that car.
Maybe $45K.
You can buy a new '14 with a $56K list for $52K.

Are you kidding me!! You should be able to get a NEW 2014 for that price. I would think 10K off MSRP would be a good starting point.

Dealer incentives alone on GS350 right now are almost $4,000 for 2013s... add on the mileage making it second hand and I agree high 40s at the very most. Dealer is screwing with you.

Thanks my thoughts exactly I offered 50,500 out the door and this was their reply:

I would love to earn your business, but we are not even in the ball park. We have already marked the vehicle down more than $3,000.00 under invoice. I can't do anything about the $3,800.00 in taxes. To get out the door at your offer we would have to sell the vehicle at $47,000.00. That is $12,382.00 discount and a new Lexus does not depreciate that much with only 3,500 miles.

I appreciate the opportunity.

Thank you,

I responded with the following and got the following reply, was I wrong in what I said?

My Response:

Factoring in 2014 dealer incentives I can get a 2014 with 0 miles on it for your price. 3500 miles makes it a used car in most people's minds regardless if it's a lexus.

Regardless I am interested so if your management changes their mind let me know.

from the dealer:

Invoice on a 2014 is $56,551.00. If you can buy one at the price your talking please let me know where because we will buy it from them as well. The information you have is incorrect. I am up front and honest with you. There is no hidden agenda and everything is all in black and white. You can call 20 Lexus dealers we all have the same invoice prices.

That dealer is selling a used loaner/test drive car as new? Shady to start with, shop elsewhere.
