Air Intake Kit: F SPORT
I'm thinking of installing this in my 13" GS 350 F Sport (AWD) I have a couple of questions 1. WIll it change the sound or eliminate the sound "producer" on the air intake and 2. Will it add any horsepower? Thanks

It's not worth the money honestly for either of those things. Get a K&N intake built for the 2011 GS 350. It fits perfectly without modification. It comes with a heat shield that almost fits but the hole needs to widened a little. Even without it though (not a necessary piece, just adds a little more performance) you'll notice a more robust sound and about 12hp gain

Ditto. Unless you're in a competitive event (race, solo, etc.) there is pretty much no reason to not use the factory filter, especially these days where many manufactures incorporate cold air intakes into their standard design.

+1 the paper air filter is the best way to go, unless you are rebuilding your engines constantly.
The K&N bypasses too many minute particles that cause premature wear. There was quite a scientific study done about 10 years ago or so on automobile air filter media... the best of the lot?
The humble Delco paper filter element.
I can't imagine that Lexus would have any worse. For the little performance (if any) by swapping to K&N or another gauze/oil type filter, you are upside down on the cost benefit as far as engine wear.

Have you purchased an intake yet? Curious to see how it turned out on your 13” fsport
