I would really pray they total it out. No way I would want that thing back even if it was just until the end of the lease term. Glad you are okay.

I've seen much worse than that repaired, seriously doubt that'll be totaled. With the frame machines that body shops have, they'll bring that back into spec and as long as they do a good job matching the paint, you'll never know the difference.

I doubt a shop with a Geico contract is going to do a half *** job.

Just dropped off the car at the body shop on Wednesday. The Geico adjuster is working with the shop to estimate the repair cost. I don't have the final word yet if it's going to be a total loss, but from my understanding after talking with the body shop, the car is going under the knife for 4-6 weeks. Since the other party is paying for the repair (and the fact that I have another car to toy around, aka my CT200h), I'm not worried or in a rush for them to get the work done.

And I did mention earlier that the GS is a lease, so it is not a big worry to me at all with the outcome of last week's accident as 1) if the car gets totaled, I'll most likely do a 2014 GS lease or 2) if the car gets repaired, I'll ride out the end of my lease (July 2015) and turn it in. That's the beauty of a Lexus lease

I guess that's a win win situation for you, lease ends next year I'll be fine with that if it happen to me too.

OMG! I think I'm gonna be sick! I would get it fixed, sell it and eat the losses! I will never own or buy a wrecked car! Thank God for CarFax! Glad to hear everyone is OK! Good luck!

Unfortunately, although it looks bad, I don't think it is a total loss. I'm speaking from personal experience in a similar accident.

Did any of the airbags deploy?

No airbags deployed, it wasn't hit dead on in the rear, just impacted on the passenger corner. The Lexus definitely did its job as far as safety is concerned and implementing impact crash zones on the front and rear

Yep you remember right. Had a 1996 ES300 and then a 2001 ES300 which got totaled. Always a Lexus owner, always will be

I feel bad for whoever is going to buy this car later down the road. Carfax and autocheck will show an accident but in reality no one is ever going to know how much damage was caused.
