Default Just got the F, couple mod questions...

Just got hold of a brand new GS 350 AWD F-Sport and I have a couple mod questions. I want to get an exhaust and I'm debating between the Invidia Q300 or the JoeZ. Looking for comparisons between drone, the "growl" in throttle, and obviously price & availability. I appreciate all the help everyone

Default invidia exhaust

I recently installed the invidia exhaust and have to say I'm a fan. There's really no drone, and it growls when you want. I opted for it because of the cheaper price but from videos on YouTube I think the joez sounds better. Personal preference of course.

I had the Joe Z cat-back, and it is the best sounding IMO, but has drone. The price may be high compared to other systems, however the resale value is great. They're not mass produced and the quality is top notch.

Did you get the midpipe too? Cause most of the videos on YouTube are with midpipe, and I wonder how it sounds with just the Q300 axle back.

I got the full exhaust, including the midpipe and axle back. I assume it would lose the grunt without the midpipe.

I believe the Invidia cat back is for RWD only, as with the Joe Z. If you want the full cat back system you will have to have the midpipe modified.

Yes you are correct, but it is not a major modification by any means. Most auto shops should be able to build the driver side pipe using the OEM pipe.

Thanks for the replies. So I'm guessing there's no way I can get the Invidia w/ the midpipe installed on my awd? Also, does anyone know where I can find both the Invidia & JoeZ online to buy?

Invidia: eBay, Redline360.com, or Vendor Classifieds
Joe Z: Carson Toyota http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/...submit&x=0&y=0

What is the performance benefit to getting new exhaust? Specifically?

Thanks a lot man. On the Carson site it says that the axle back is for the 2013 GS but then once you click the link it says it only fits2006-2010.

Not much "performance" to be gained from it. It's just a different sound and a bit louder. You won't be shaving any time off your 1/4 mile with it.
