Just thought I'd add some info to this thread, in case anybody else was looking for more info on the AWD system in the GS and IS. The system is listed under the heading "2.1.3. Full-Time H (i-Four) type" and there's a link with a full in-depth discussion of how it works, along with detailed diagrams.
Interestingly enough, that site also has info about the 2022 NX350's new full-time AWD, so it appears to be regularly updated.
