Default Delay In My Trip Home!!

Ok so as I stated with my pics I was in Miami. I was on my way back to the Bean when I started driving I heard this loud screeching sound, It sounded like a rock may have been wedged between the rotor and brake pad. So it was so bad I had to stop at a dealership, I took it to Lexus of Silver Springs really helpful. Well to my amazement it was the rotor, the rust had built up so bad that it was scratching the brake back plate, they shaved it down so it wouldn't make any noise on my trip back but they told me it needs to be replaced. Has anyone else heard of this happening especially on a car so new.

Weird, never heard of this problem. So, you're driving back all the way from FL?

Lexus of Silver Spring, my neck of the woods! Well...not really but I've used them many times.

As to your problem, never heard that on a Lexus....

This was the first I've ever heard of it, I will be bringing it in on Thursday so service can replace the rotors.

It should be that's what Lexus of silver springs said, I could have gotten it replaced there but I needed to get back to Boston.

yes it can happen, especially to a car after it rains a lot and then it sits for weeks on end in a dealerships lot
