What do you mean by "match"? If you are talking sidewall height, are you aware that the "40" is not an actual linear measure but a percentage of the tires width? So the 265/35 is VERY close in height to the 235/40 tire, a 265/40 will likely be noticeably taller and not "match".
Why do you think would it "waste" faster?

Oh sorry if i confused you guys. What i mean. I dont really like the fact that stock tires for the gs350 F sport has 235/40/19 front and 265/35/19 rear. I would like to have the space wall of tire height also 40 instead of 35 rear. I feel like thats less tread life.
If i go with 265/40 rear, what do you mean that it will be taller?
Can i just drop it with springs if it gets to high?

235/40 = 94mm
265/35 = 92.75mm
265/40 = 104mm (substantially taller than the fronts)
I think a little reading on a tire website "What do those numbers mean?' might be beneficial.Check out Discount Tires or Tire Rack.

How about trying 255-40-19 for the rear? The overall diameter would be about 0.63 inch taller/bigger than the 235-40-19 (0.73 inch vs 265-35-19). Also, what about trying 225-45-19 for the front and match it with 255-40-19 for the rear? The diameter for those 2 tires would be very close (26.97 inch for the 225-40-19 and 27.03 inch for the 255-40-19) and the diameter variance would still be less than 3% vs stock tires. 235-40-19 is about 26.40 inch in overall diameter and 26.30 inch for the rear stock size of 265-35-19.

Wait, now i'm confused. Were you asking for your 2000 GS300 the whole time? If so, we've probably have been giving you advice based on the assumption that you had a 4th gen GS which could then alter everything we've told you.
Have you tried the other GS forum?
