Default GS tire/wheel size masters needed

Looking at picking up some wheels for my AWD F Sport

Will these fit without rubbing or fender mods?

Front
20x8.5. +35 offset
245/35/20 tires

Rear
20x10 +45 offset
285/30/20

Any help would be much appreciated.

Awd is a challenge as the sizes have to be so similar front to back.

Or should I go with all same size 8.5 wide and put a spacer on the rear?

Nope that should work it all depends on if your lowered and on what, if its springs you should be good.

ok if you lower it the 285 are too wide for the rear, u will rub for sure, so go with 275 its much safer, I am running 275 on mine and Tanabe springs and its very good.

Thanks for the insight - what size and offset rims do you have?

I'm really trying to keep the overall diameter the same between front to back

You'll be fine with springs. I think bigblack06 has a similar setup, with zero issues.

If you want to go with 275/30/20 instead of 285's, then your fronts would need to be 235/35/20. That's what I run on my AWD.

I have 20x9.0 +34 and it's already pretty close to the fender. But I think you should be fine, we are only talking about 12mm difference.

Hey Sniper, thanks for your input. Your ride is looking great. i'm also in nyc area.
i believe the difference in 9" wheels and 9.5" is only 6mm although half inch = 12mm
because your lose 6mm of inner space and the wheel is positioned 6mm outwards

hopefully i can go low and natural camber will help out to clear the fender.

getting SSR MS3 and dropping on RSR coilovers

Awd is a challenge as the sizes have to be so similar front to back.
My setup is 20x8.5 +38 and 20x10 +44 with Michelins Pilot A/S tires 245/35 and 275/30/20. My springs are Tanabe with the rear camber at -1.6 to -1.8. This negative camber helps squeeze the tires inside the fender without rubbing.

Absolutely no rubbing in the rear under normal load with 2-130lbs adults in the rear). But last week when I had to load up some heavy limestone tiles in the rear in the tune of 600lbs. There is barely 3/8" between the rear tire (outer wall) and the inner fender lining. My guess is had my tires had been 285 30, there might have been a problem.

The front has very small rubbing (outer wall tire to inner side of fender lining) on sharp turns with a dip mid-turn.

Now from reading some of the posts, each wheel might be slightly different from another even with the same offset. In addition, different tires have different shape as well. Finally it depends on your camber setting as well as more negative settings will allow you to fit larger rubber.

Last thing to consider is that it's really difficult to find good tires with 275/30/20. I'm ready to replace my tires with Michelin Super Sport. Unfortunately they don't make that size right now. But they do make 285/30/20. Which is what I'm considering but I know I'm taking a risk. Especially considering seeing how tight a fit the wheels were under heavy loads.

You can do 20 x 9.5 +35 all day in the front with no fender mods and a 245/35 tire, there are a couple members on here with that front set up. I have 20 x 9.5 +36 in the front as well so this is based on personal experience.
